Invisibility

Scientists at MIT are very excited about the system they created to make objects invisible. Invisibility is nothing new, scientists have been working to perfect it for years.  But in other experiments objects were made invisible by using wavelengths of light that humans can't see and it only worked on very microscopic objects.  This new system works with larger objects in visible light.  The only thing is, the object has to be placed behind a chunk of calcite at a very specific angle under water and illuminated by green light.

It seems like they went to a lot of trouble to research something this guy figured out years ago.

"Blue Steel"

Hello!? Doesn't anybody remember this:

In fact, David Copperfield was so good at this trick, he is now permanently invisible to everyone.  He made his career disappear.  Amazing!
